Concrete Floor Oxfordshire

Production Process:

Nationwide Concreting undertook this 1735m2 project for Conlon in Kingston Bagpuize, Oxfordshire on the 16th December 2014. The concrete floor slabs formed part of the new residential development for David Wilson Homes. The 75mm concrete slabs were laid on block beams and finished with a non power floated finish.

Concrete Slab Laying:

- We laid 75mm thick concrete slabs atop the pre-installed block beams. The choice of a 75mm thickness was made to balance structural integrity with efficient use of materials.

- The concrete used were of high quality, ensuring durability and long-term performance. Special attention was given to the mix to guarantee it met the specific needs of the project.

Finishing Touches:

- Unlike many contemporary projects that utilise power floating to achieve a smooth finish, this project required a non-power floated finish. This method was selected to meet the specific aesthetic and functional requirements of the development.

- The non-power floated finish involved careful manual troweling to achieve the desired texture and appearance. This technique, while labor-intensive, provided a unique look that complemented the design vision of David Wilson Homes.

Outcome:

The project was completed successfully, meeting all the quality standards and timelines set by David Wilson Homes and Conlon. The concrete slabs provided a robust foundation for the residential development, contributing to the overall durability and safety of the homes built on them.
