Nationwide carry out a pre pour ground survey prior to our flooring operatives' arrival on site. After the groundworks have been carried out we use high tech lasers to check the consistency of the levels so that all levels and depths of the slabs are in accordance with the engineers' requirements.
Armour joint system is a leave in place formwork and load transfer system designed to help meet the demanding needs of the concrete industry. The system enables us to cast fast and flat industrial concrete floors in facilities such as warehouses, factories, logistics centres, depots and agricultural facilities. The armour joint system also meets the TR34 4th edition and provides exceptional levels of load transfer.
Nationwide Concreting use our own in house steel fixers to do all the necessary setting up prior to pouring. We use a range of steel materials for the appropriate needs of the project in hand from mesh reinforcement to bar reinforcement to our own steel fibre pin machine which adds steel pins to the concrete lorries at the concrete plant.
Nationwide’s concrete pouring team have a vast amount of knowledge when it comes to concrete pours big or small from 20m3 to 600m3. All our operatives on site hold CSCS, SMSTS, SSSTS and all of our concrete contractors are qualified first aiders. We use top of the range machines from lasers, vibrating tools, ride on power floats to our own high tech laser screed. Since our steel team have completed their job the day before, our pouring team just has to confirm the datum with the site management and commence pouring the floor, making sure the concrete supply is constant for the power floating later that day.
Nationwide have their own experienced saw cutting teams who cut the concrete floor slabs usually the next day after the slabs have been power floated and cured with a curing agent. The saw cutting team works closely with our office logistics team to gather all relevant information and drawings for the current project. The majority of our saw cuts are done on a 6m section but this is all down to the engineers and clients for that job. We also use our saw team to cut out existing concrete slabs that are no longer in use and in need of refurbishment.
